Privacy policy
A short document, because there is very little to report: this is a static, fan-made website with no accounts, no analytics and no third-party services. Last reviewed: September 2026.
This policy describes how the unofficial Chicken Road fan HQ handles information. The summary fits in one line: almost nothing about you reaches us, on purpose.
1. Who we are
This site is an independent, fan-made editorial project about the Chicken Road arcade game. It is not affiliated with the game's developer or any official channel. For general project information, see the about page.
2. What we collect
Nothing, in any deliberate sense. The site has:
- No user accounts, registration or login of any kind
- No analytics, tracking pixels or advertising networks
- No third-party scripts, fonts or embedded services
- No server-side data storage — the pages are plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript
3. Local storage
Two small things are stored in your own browser using local storage, and they never leave your device:
- Cookie-banner choice — so the notice doesn't reappear on every visit. Key name:
chickenroad_cookie_choice. You can reset it any time via your browser's site-data tools, and our cookie policy has details. - Session best score — the highest recorded result from the interactive run simulation on the home page, kept so the readout survives page reloads. Key name:
chickenroad_best_score.
Clearing your browser's local storage for this site removes both, with no side effects beyond the banner politely returning.
4. The contact form
The form on the contact page is a demonstration of client-side validation. Messages are checked in your browser and displayed back to you locally; they are not transmitted, stored or read by anyone. If a future version of the site adds real message delivery, this policy will be updated first.
5. Log data
This site is delivered as static files. Any server logs that exist are the responsibility of whatever hosting is used at deployment time; the site itself neither requests nor processes them.
6. Children
The site describes an arcade game in plain, family-friendly terms. It is written for general audiences and deliberately collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
7. Your choices
Since we hold nothing, there is nothing to request, export or delete on our side. You control the two local-storage entries through your browser, and clearing them restores the site to its default state.
8. Changes
If the site ever gains features that touch personal data, this policy will be revised and the "Last reviewed" date above will change. We consider a policy that only needs editing when the site changes to be a healthy sign.
